Position Summary

The intern will play the important role of building and developing collaborations with our external partners who ensure the long-term growth and success of our movement. The intern will be responsible for building and supporting a city-wide communication and engagement strategy for our stakeholders so as to ensure their ongoing involvement and alignment to the movement.

Responsibilities

  • Managing Teach For India’s social media presence, daily.

Position Summary

Responsibilities

  • Support the engagement of External Partners towards the Regional Movement
  • Manage/Lead all city-wide updates as well as periodic communication to external stakeholders
  • Immerse stakeholders from different backgrounds in Fellow and Alumni spaces and effectively debrief the experiences to create champions for the movement
  • Manage the communication and/or logistics around all key city-wide spaces (like TFI Week, City Conferences, External Career Fair, etc)and some vertical specific spaces(like HM (Headmaster) conferences, Alumni Accelerators, etc.)

Additional Responsibilities

  • Provide Collaborative Inputs to the Program Vertical
  • Identify and cultivate partners with the other managers in the External Partnerships vertical to meet the needs of Schools, Fellows and Children.
  • Implement ongoing short term and long term research and learning initiatives with Stakeholders to inform our strategy.

Position Summary

The Intern will work closely with the Government & School Impact team on key projects towards strengthening existing partnerships and creating new ones towards program sustainability and systemic impact in the region.

  • Building prioritised partnerships with Government & Affordable Private schools that will lead to both sustainability and systemic impact for TFI Chennai in the region.
  • Creating an ambitious expansion plan for Teach For India Chennai.
  • Working & negotiating partner agreements with School Leaders and Government stakeholders.
  • Analyse existing State Level Achievement Survey (SLAS) data for schools and provide recommendations to the Government for improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Create & leverage Partnerships for School Placements
  • Through Primary & Secondary research, identify and target partner institutions in the region that will lead to program sustainability & expansion
  • Network and liaise with stakeholders of these institutions to negotiate win-win partnerships
  • Sourcing SLAS data for our TFI partner schools and coming up with a plan towards strong outcomes at the end of 2017-18
  • Design an Engagement Plan that can be shared with Government stakeholders, driven by inputs received from Fellows (at the start of the year)
  • Involves gathering responses from Fellows and formulating the engagement plans accordingly
