Internship Details

• Writing head-notes for judgments of Supreme Court, High Courts and tribunals as part of editorial enhancements and quality analysis of judgments.

• Distills relevant information from judgments into crisp and concise head-notes.

• Independent decisions regarding product content and editorial value-add.

• Having an analytical bent to identify and collect relevant legal issues.

• Read, evaluate and edit manuscript or other materials.

• Plan the contents of Judgement as per standards, policy and requirements.

• Supervise and coordinate work of other editors.

• Develop, write, edit and design a broad range of business materials including brochures, leaflets, web copy, newsletters, profiles, marketing copy, business letters, presentations & reports.

• Review and analyse & summarize case laws on varied subject areas of law to identify disposition, language & points of law.

• Perform research and draft briefs, motions, memorandums and other legal documents.

• Must have an excellent grasp of the stylistic and mechanical aspects of writing.

• They must be able to express ideas in a clear, organized, concise and logical manner.

• Superior research skills and the ability to synthesize, draft and edit complex information through print, electronic, online sources in assigned areas

• Must have excellent knowledge of grammar, usage, punctuation, and style as well as a keen attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines. 

• Study, read scripts and material for new editions with the aim of confirming their quality and accuracy.

• Review accuracy and completeness of source materials, electronic conversions, and editorial content.
