About Company

Naandi, which in Sanskrit means a new beginning, is one of the largest and fastest growing social sector organisations in India working to eradicate poverty. Founded on November 1, 1998 as a Public Charitable Trust and born out of the idea of creating a professionally run, socially motivated, Naandi has worked relentlessly over the years to partner with various state governments, corporate houses, international donor agencies and national development organizations to deliver successful large scale public service programs. Socially critical and relevant aspects such as elementary education with positive discrimination of girls, safe drinking water and sanitation, end-to-end sustainable agriculture in tribal areas, skilling and employment for youth, safe motherhood and early childhood development including tackling of malnutrition amongst children, are some of the services Naandi Foundation continuous to focus on to deliver sustainable impact.

The Naandi ideology revolves around building sustainable models within the social sector that deliver critical services efficiently and equitably to underserved communities. This is the premise of Naandi Foundation’s initiative to manage English medium schools of the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM). Under this partnership known as Mumbai Public Schools, Heads of Schools & School Teachers are mentored to teach effectively in English, develop learning/ teaching aids, use learning management tools such as assessments and track learning levels of each child to improve learning outcomes. The Naandi MPS Program is ensuring that more than 15,000 students, none of whose families speak in English, are using English as the medium to study different subjects in their schools.

The team at Naandi MPS is learning and growing at a remarkable pace and is poised to achieve a new wave of milestones. Given the prospects of program growth & community impact, we are looking to extend the reach and depth of the Naandi MPS team. If you are a socially motivated, academically oriented and operationally superior contributor, we invite you to connect with us to explore the possibilities of a mutually rewarding partnership.
