Scholars for Change - Round III, 2016
Online Internship for Creating “Learning Projects”

Calling college students to co-create elementary curriculum

If you have a school background in science and math, and want to volunteer to design learning projects for children studying in Classes 6 to 8 in government elementary schools, here is your chance. You can join the third round of Scholars for Change, 2016, an Online Internship project of the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad, which aims at creating “learning projects” in Hindi/ Gujarati/ Marathi. What you will get is the satisfaction of having contributed to the education of underprivileged children, and an internship experience that will force you to think about social change through education.

This is not a campus internship. You will work from your respective places, and on satisfactory completion of the online internship, we will reward you with certificates of appreciation. Your content’s authorship will remain with you, and you will have to agree to make it open-access.

What is a Learning Project?

About Company

Young Teachers for change is a campaign of Education Innovation Bank at IIM Ahmedabad. This campaign seeks to give to underprivileged children access to high quality, interesting content in Science and Math, so that they can learn on their own, in their own language, with fun and play. The content will be made available through a forum for innovative teachers, www.teachersastransformers.org, and will be accessed through school computers or, if some children have access at home, through home computers. Teachers will also act as facilitators to topic, addressing any questions that children may have after viewing the content.
