Internship Description
The intern will be required to connect with 4500 artists over the period of 1 month to check the effectiveness of direct marketing. This would involve connecting with new artists online –on music websites and social media and sending out the marketing material to them on regular basis.
Background -
In the last 1 month of promotion, we have tried multiple options of reaching out to artist community. We tried advertising on Google/facebook which gave minimal response. We sent direct messages to about 5000 artists on Soundcloud, facebook and other music sites.
We have found that direct marketing and connecting with artists directly has give the highest response, as compared to paid marketing on Google/facebook and other mediums. Taking this learning from last month, Songdew aims to get 2000 new artist registrations on the site with the help of enthusiastic interns to are keen to explore, learn and achieve!
In the month of January 2012, we plan to connect with 20 000 Indian artists from across India/abroad and get 2000 new artists on Songdew.com in the month of January.
