An Internship in Wipro Technologies:
One of the students who reached out to us, Rakshit Kapoor, from NIT Jalandhar shared with us the process he had to undergo for an internship in Wipro Technologies. This is a gist of that journey, where he ended as a CTO Intern – by paying close attention to the three-round process.
Rakshit made it through as a CTO Intern through a campus placement, one of the many ways in which the company invites interns. There have been calls for online calls for internships, as in this case.
“There was a pre-internship talk by officials who had visited our campus”, he said. “They introduced the candidates to their organisation and the internship profiles which they offered. They also discussed their clients and the services they offer.”
Rakshit clarified that it was important to attend this session.
Process Rounds for Internship Interviews:
There are three process rounds for internship interviews for the company. There is an online test with a skill assessment company, a technical interview and an HR interview that one needs to clear to get through. Rakshit shared his experience in all three.
Round 1: The Online Test
A cumulative online assessment with sections in aptitude, logical and verbal reasoning, Round 1 of the internship interview process for Wipro is an exhaustive one indeed. A candidate has to clear this 50-question test, trying to score high on them.
Round 2: Technical Interview
The second round that he faced was the technical interview, scheduled through a Skype interaction or a telephonic interaction. “Here, the officials asked about the candidate’s information and about projects undertaken by the candidate.”
Rakshit advises that those from non-CSE branches need to work harder here. “Describe only your core projects or just the CS projects.” Doing both, may not be the best idea as it may give an impression that the candidate is not focused.
