Yesterday afternoon, Pranay Swarup, Chief Growth Officer and Co-founder, Letsintern came up with the idea of bringing the Ice bucket Challenge to our newly furnished Pune office, and was joined by Ankit Saxena, our CTO, Rishabh Gupta, our CEO and Gaurav Misra, who wholeheartedly welcomed the idea.
Within a few hours, ice was arranged in 4 buckets, and the rest of the team cheered on, as the challenge-acceptors went ahead and seconds later stood drenched in freezing water. We also nominated three other indian startup companies to take on the challenge after us, within 24 hours and urged our other city office teams to do the same. Find out who they were in the video below.
Letsintern supports the good cause of raising awareness about ALS through the ice bucket challenge and donated to it as well.
What is the Ice Bucket Challenge?
The Ice Bucket Challenge is a campaign that was started a few weeks ago to spread awareness about ALS, a motor neuron disease, that directly attacks the nerve cells in the spinal cord and the brain, rendering the person unable to carry out voluntary muscle movement. The few seconds that follow after taking the Ice Bucket Challenge, give you an insight into how an ALS patient feels every single day.
Till now, ALS has no known cure and hence, the Ice Bucket Challenge aims at raising money for donating to research for finding the cure for ALS.
You can donate to ALS too!
