Hence, each food outlet listed here is different from one another which makes one realise that food is more than what we eat- it’s what we experience.

1) QD’s restaurant:

This place is famous for its lip-smacking tandoori momos!It’s located at two prime locations of Delhi- Satyaniketan and GTB Nagar making it a hotspot for both North and South Delhi University students. Be ready to stand in a queue on most days but the waiting only makes the food more delicious! Right?

2) Indian Coffee House:

Suited best for winters because of its terrace sitting and (sadly) no air conditioner for indoor-sitting, this place is lovely because of its simplicity and old-school charm. It’s recently renovated and though has become a bit costly than before, it’s food is still value for money. Perfect for a quiet chit-chat with friends or even sitting alone with a book while observing the diversity of the people who come in. Do try the chow mien and butter dosa when you are there!

3) Potbelly Rooftop Cafe:

Shootout to all our Bihari friends! Delhi’s first ever Bihari restaurant is here.This place is known for it’s authentic Bihari cuisine and laid-back ambience. It’s earthy tones and comfortable chairs will make you relax in no time! They even organise a lot of slam poetry sessions and other such activities which make this place quite happening! The food is delicious and though a bit pricey than the others in our list- It’s absolutely worth it!

4) Speedy Chef:

We all know that going to Hauz Khas Village for food is a costly affair. Well, fret no more! Speedy Chef is here. They offer mouth-watering subways, salads and their pasta is to die for! Perfect for a quick meal ( duh!) with two-three friends. They have bean bags for sitting which is quite a (fun) contrast to the otherwise sophisticated and artistic decor.

Looking for some authentic chinese cuisine on the list? Located in Khan Market, this place is certified for it’s delectable dimsums which are served hot in steel tiffin boxes. Oh, and don’t miss out on the quirky test-tubes on the tables filled with a variety of sauces! This place is both cool and cozy with a tinch of funkiness added to it.

Let’s do the Taco! This place provides tempting tacos and amazing prices starting from just Rs 30! Along with tacos, they also offer burritos, nachos and feisty potatoes making your stomach go hola! It’s usually crowded on the weekends. The decor is not much to look at- though you would hardly complain about yummy tacos stuffed in your mouth!

If you love to experiment with your food outlets and want to try something a little “hatke”- this place is right up your alley! Perfect for the coming Halloween.

Time for some gup-shup over chai? We have the exact place for you! This place is located at CP Oxford bookstore hence making it a book-cafe.They offer a large number and unheard names of chais’ including: “bollywood masala mix chai”, “ truck driver 100-mile ki cha” and our own “cutting chai”. Besides chai, they also offer sandwiches, cakes, pastries, hummus with falafel/pita bread and other fast-food items. Miss foodie diaries say that the place has slow service, though! Don’t say you weren’t warned.
