Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Research on scientific & technological aspects of crafts, arts, and products
2. Gain insights into supportive measures to revitalize diminishing skills and recommend logical arguments to policymakers

IMF interests are on novel and simple approaches to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency, scaling up the craft, artisans, micro-enterprise, tiny and small-scale manufacturing to enable livelihood of many.

a) Provides short-term exposure to with inter-disciplinary policy views for real-world problems
b) Provides an opportunity for young talent to associate with IMF’s activities for mutual benefit
c) Encourages young graduates to understand government functioning, regulatory, developmental policy issues and contribute in its formulation, amendments if required, by generating input through critical analysis, review social issues & policies
d) The mission of this internship is to foster potential through exposure to appropriate science and engineering policies, issues and programs
e) Interns shall assist with a variety of tasks and learn under the close mentorship of accomplished scientists/senior engineers
